If the scratches are on brushed surfaces, and it is light enough--not major dints or scars, you could try using a pen rubber eraser. Rub it the exact direction of the original brushed lines. I've had success with few of my ROO pieces--Ti, steel and RG. For the polished surface areas, use gold/silver polishing cloth--the Tiffany sourced ones are excellent and effective to remove light scratches.
Understand how u feel, I too for one can't bear looking at visible imperfections when wearing one

My TA Carbon is currently with AP service centre for a bezel change (accidentally knocked and made groove marks--hardly visible actually due to their material (CA), but still irritating to me), plus a hornback strap retrofit--thought might as well while at it. Sent it through an AD, and it's been two weeks now and still have not gotten any news from them re prices nor parts availability.. Damn, hate their slow response and watch service/repair turn around time.
2 years ago, sent in my JPM RG for total service, check and polish, took almost 5months before I got it back! They said watch had to be sent back to Switzerland thus the delay. So sometime, an eraser and polishing cloth can come in quite handy and work wonders to lessen or even dispense with your misery (scratches visibility)--at least until the actual big service day is due. Work on it carefully though.. You may be pleasantly surprise. Hope this helps. Good luck!
