Rusty?
Some think that a vintage dial is rusty, that it is all about corrosion
Others find some beauty to that.
I belong to this last category, and feel the beauty of time, on these dials, a witness of their life, of the time passing...
Should I add that this lovely P 476 has two interests?
It is the first automatic Calibre from JLC.
I found it in the US, during our IGOTT II...

Mechanically, and aesthetically, yes.
Mechanically, as it was the first JLC Automatic movement.
Aesthetically, because it doesn't need to be much better than that.
And as an Extra Bonus, these oldies have so much ...Soul!

Well the movement works very well, it runs one second too fast per day.
But if I had to service the watch, I will let its dial and case like this...
I never touch to a dial, and most of the time I let the case as it is.

Yes, this one is from 1948, the movement, P 476, was released in 1946.
And I had it with me during our IGOTT II!

That's a very nice piece Nico and the bronze dial is beautiful! A very refined piece! If I dare to ask, what's the size as there is no wristshot, just to imagine how it looks on the wrist.
