I would like just to warn you all about fraud auction of jlc memovox which is on e-bay now ---- item number 230630251698
I was allready allerting e-bay 2 times with no effect and just to save everybody stress and money.

The watch presented on the pictures - same watch and same pictures - had been sold on e-bay also as a fraud 2 months ago - I was one of the potential buyers (luckily thanks to paypal protection and fast reaction I haven't loose money)
The story is smilar this time - account from Thailand again, again positive feedback built on buying items for cents, and suddenly he/she starts to sell watches - in last case all the watches were also offered after sale as a second chance offer to the other biders and each of them sold at least 5 times. Since its long time to ship people might during waiting forget that they have limited time to start claim, and loose their money.
In my case the seller gave even a fake tracking duiring dispute (the numbers were wrong so they messed even this).

Since the watch pictured on this auction is a beauty and I think many of us is watching I thought it would be good if I ll try to warn you since my request to e-bay went ingnored.

4/3/2011 21:06 PDT - Buyer: Almost all of the watches the seller listed last week were sold to couple of buyers at the same time - please check the feedback as well transaction history - since each of these watches were unique vintage this is not normal behavior Seller have never shipped the watch and after informing about possibility of informing authorities about this fraud promised the refund (I can provide correspondence on e-bay with the seller). The watch I bought was also sold at the same time 3 times for 1700 usd ans well for 1550 and 1100 usd same story was done on all of other watches except from one - sold to someone with 3 feedbacks and in location it was no physical possibility to deliver in such a time span. The seller had build his feedback reputation prior to doing this fraud on penny value private transactions. Since he has exotic location he has a lot of time till the buyers will start complaining I hope those information together with dispute history and sellers behaviot
3/28/2011 14:22 PDT - Buyer: I have checked the sellers ID and transaction history - the same watch had been sold by best offer twice - once to me second time to the other bider so I am sure its not going to be sent, as well the seller feedback had been built on penny transaction within last 3 months

As I am living in Bangkok at the moment I was seriously considering bidding on it.....but based on this info I will never pay for anything here before checking it personally....

...these past couple of years. And many of them I find questionable.

That ebay seller lists an address only 20 kilometers from where I live. Just to think how small a world can be some time.

i dont know why, but in 9 years of ebaying and feedback of over 1500 i've never encountered a fraudster. i do come across watches being re sold time after time, even from US dealers, but i put a lot of that down to them having shill bidders to get the price up and ending up with the piece still in their posession. those are the dealers i avoid.

But someone (probably the same person) sold the I think the same one last night:  180677444645

It's not easy to read but the serial numbers of these watches look the same....these sellers have very recent feed backs of cheap items, looks the same trick as the with the Memovox...

zinbanhow  and the collectable fountain pens were also listed from this fraudent id so it would be reasonable to stay carefull

I am having a bad day today - got 877 and the oscilating weigt is broken as well bearing balls went inside the movment, not to mention not engaging alarm - we will se how it will finish but I am not to optimistic
