JLC Beverly Hills Boutique
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute to 1931



Here we have PuristSPro's TimeOut forum moderator DRMW taking a close look at the new JLC RT1931..........

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Beverly Hills Boutique staff created a cozy and intimate atmosphere inside the boutique.  A table for 9 guests was arranged in the center of the room that allowed everyone to join in for a round table discussion:

While the highlight of the event was the chance to examine the prototype JLC Reverso Tribute to 1931, Seth pulled out another surprise, a vintage JLC Reverso:

Our special 3 course meal for the evening started with fresh warm baked bread:

Our menu designed by the Luxe Hotel Rodeo Drive culinary staff.  Some very nice choices on the menu:

Our starter was a salad of baby mustard greens, candied walnuts, with sliced pears and crumbled goat cheese and a tart lemon dressing:

For the main entree, several of the guest including myself decided on the filet mignon with a generous portion of crispy pomme frittes and stir fried snow peas and carrots.  The steak was topped with a light chimichurri sauce:

While others chose the grilled salmon with rice pilaf:

The always friendly Andrew with the new chef of the Luxe Hotel stopping by to see if we all enjoyed the meal and to bring our desserts.

Another wonderful event by the JLC BHB, it was a pleasure to see fellow PuristS and great way to start the new year.  A big thank you to Seth for his hard work in bringing the Reverso Tribute to 1931 to the local L.A. area collectors.  Looking forward to the announcement at SIHH about the Special Piece!

It was great to see the prototype, thanks to JLC BHB for making it happen.  BTW, Amanico is correct about the SS and confirmed by Seth at JLC BHB.

And you pointed it very well with all your comparison pictures.

The size, of course, but most interestingfly, the thinness of this new Reverso.

I can be wrong, and I need to see it in the flesh before any definitive judgement, but I have the feeling that these are the perfect dimensions for this watch.

Less large, a bit less high, and spectacularly less thick, even compared to a GT case which was the preferred size for a lot of Purists.

I still have to see the dial, but it may well be on my Top 3 Reversos!

The availability has be annpounced for April, let's say May or June.

The prices have been confirmed to me: 5500 Euros in SS, 11 500 Euros for the Rose Gold, which will be the only one to be limited ( 500 pieces ).

Obviously there are 4 models to choose from...the 2 versions for the 1931 re-edition and 2 more versions with different dials.  Are these the same price or a bit cheaper than the special editions..?

Ed, you and Seth read my mind!  Ever since I heard of the RT 1931, I have wanted to see it and the Grande 976 side by side, and you have provided me with many shots here.  Of course, I still have to see them both on the wrist, but this is very helpful.  It is interesting that the RT1931 is exactly 2.5mm smaller in each of the three dimensions.  I can't wait to see one of these in the metal. 

You all had another great evening courtesy of the BH Boutique.  Seth and his team are doing such an amazing job for the West Coast JLC fans.  Thank you so much for the fantastic report! This was a great start to my day!

I would actually love to try this watch.. And probably considering it for a dress watch, as I have yet to own one...

But I have problems with watch size.. A watch with less than 42mm diameter size is tiny to me... As I'm all used to wearing Panerai..

It's great to see the side by side comparison with the XGT case which I have and was the one picture I was hoping to see.

Thanks for checking out the pics, video and report.  We had such a great time with Seth and our fellow PuristS that we all wanted to stay longer  
The pics and video were of the single prototype that exists.  But thanks to Seth, we had full access to all the other pieces in the JLC collection including the master minute repeater and master grande tradition tourbillon quantieme perpetual.   These were very cool watches and I'll try to post pics and video of them soon
