In fact, I also had to return my brand spanking new NSA with a very low 2-digit number the same day I got it. No mechanical fault, as far as I know, but there where super luminova residue all over the alarm disc.
On the brighter side, I got a brand new watch (again
) just a few weeks later and have enjoyed it for about 1,5 years now (no problems so far and an excellent time keeper).

You have taken the high road, which is great. I am guessing most of us have had issues crop up even with new watches.
Like you, I would have had to send it right back to be fixed. I am too compulsive that way. But I expect it will be back on your wrist in perfect condition ASAP.
