It's great to see JLC finally...
silencing the critics when it comes to movement finishing. I know that JLCs "upper crust" will probably elude my finances forever, but owning the same pedigree in my Reverso or Compressor Diver is cause enough to rejoice and feel just a little pride for owning one of the "Fab Four!"

The gong welded to sapphire glass..
What I would love to know, is how did they do that? Is there a special adhesive involved, or
is the sapphire made porous and a foamed metal welded into it, like they do with high-end
titanium joints in bone through skin grafting?
My only thought is the bond could be similar to something like a glass/kovar band with
old vaccum tubes for the glass metal seal. This really intrigues me.
