Hey, Greg, did you receive my mail, by the way?
Best,
Nicolas
From Me to guy who sold the watch on e-bay:
I regret to inform you that the watch I just purchased from you is not a genuine Le Coultre timepiece. In fact it is a known Chinese fake.
Unfortunately this discovery came after I purchased the item...and not before. I have credible research to support this statement.
That said, you will see that I have already paid (through pay-pal e-check) for this item and am an e-bay member in excellent standing. I do not wish to compromise my standing and want to settle this amicably. So...I ask that upon receiving the cleared payment that you: A. DO NOT SHIP the item to me and B. Refund my payment in full.
In exchange we can call it a wash and both write this off as "lessons learned". I will not report this item as a fake to e-bay and you can do with it whatever you see fit. I suggest taking it to an expert for evaluation.
I am a mid-level watch collector/trader and an Engineer here in Silicon Valley. My cell phone number is (925) XXX-XXXX if you want to discuss.
From the seller:
I apologize for selling this as authentic if it is fake. I was selling this for my father who had purchased this same item from E Bay several years ago. I will refund your money and will not be relisting this watch until my father has had it authenticated. I too have a good feedback rating and wish to protect it. Again I apologize , S
