Definitely coming from China....
A few years ago, I sat on eBay's 10-member Trust & Safety advisory board and met monthly senior staff to review/approve new policy on trust & safety. One of the things we were working on was filters to find & eliminate some of the fake horological items that were flooding into the site from the newly opened Chinese eBay site. This particular watch model was one that was being uploaded by the hundreds each day to the site by Chinese sellers exclusively, so we can reasonably assume the product has its origins in China. The fake "Omega" ball pendant watches were another item coming from China in boatloads.

From Me to guy who sold the watch on e-bay:
I regret to inform you that the watch I just purchased from you is not a genuine Le Coultre timepiece. In fact it is a known Chinese fake.
Unfortunately this discovery came after I purchased the item...and not before. I have credible research to support this statement.
That said, you will see that I have already paid (through pay-pal e-check) for this item and am an e-bay member in excellent standing. I do not wish to compromise my standing and want to settle this amicably. So...I ask that upon receiving the cleared payment that you: A. DO NOT SHIP the item to me and B. Refund my payment in full.
In exchange we can call it a wash and both write this off as "lessons learned". I will not report this item as a fake to e-bay and you can do with it whatever you see fit. I suggest taking it to an expert for evaluation.
