Atmos first!
I love your style, Mo!
Best, my friend.

I am a fan of Gustav Klimt's art work and thus I fancy the Marqueterie. Unfortunately, since the works of art are too expensive (one of his works sold at auction a couple years ago for a fortune) to acquire, the Atmos that bears his work with inlaid wood almost seems as a bargain.
The Atmos I would actually consider acquiring is the Atmos Millenaire and this new Atmos 1933 Reedition.
Nice post Nicolas, and thanks for including the photos of the original as well! It is a very close reproduction!
Some, the Newson, others the 1930, and some excentric guys like us quote the Klimt or the Astronomique.
One thing is sure, the concept of the Atmos is truely fascinating.
I will post something about it just after all the 2010 Releases...
Stay tuned, my friend.
Nicolas

But nowadays, I will have to check, except the Atmos Dunhill which is a JLC made for Dunhll, of course.
Thanks for your kind comments, my friend.
Nicolas
Can you imagine such a wristshot???
A perpetual winner!
Best, Géo.

If I had the funds, I would certainly select the same 3 Atmos...For the Astronomical complication ( I'm totally nut about this complication ), for the timeless and classic look of the 1930, and for the impressive beauty of the Dunhill.
As for your last question, it is a head scratcher for me, but I would say both.
Best, my friend.

...and i am not alone, judging from the many enthusiastic posts!
Unfortuntely i still cant see the pics and i had to check the JL website to get an idea.
I am crazy for the 561 and very fond of the Dunhill version. Very cool indeed. Unfortunately they are both expensive. The new 566 is phantastic, juduging from the pictures, but completely out of my range....for the time being.
Who knows what the future brings, a collector needs patience...
Thanks for writing about the Atmos, Nicolas, this is great.
Stefan

That's what I love the most with the Atmos clocks, and your analogy with a fire burning in the fireplace is well chosen!
Well, the 566 is much more elaborated than the 561, as you have Astronomical complications, hence the huge difference in prices.
Thanks for your input, Damien!
Best,
Nicolas
Seeing both of them side by side is indeed interesting, my friend.
I think the 1930 Reedition is easier to get, because it looks sweater than the Atmos.
But I love Complications, too...
Best, and thanks for your nice and interesting input!
