hi guys,

this evening, Singapore JLC boutique had organized an exclusive preview for a small group of JLC fans here to have the first look at three new JLC watches that were just recently launched in SIHH2010 Geneva.

i was so lucky to be able to present there and see these great watches at one evening. of course i know you would ask me which of these three watches were bought to Singapore this time, they are Master Compressor Extrem Lab 2, Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire, and Master Memovox International in SS.

was only able to photos of these watches posted by Nico, i am happy to try all these watches on my wrist finally!!!

my impression on these watches are:

1. LAB2 is no doubt a super and functional watch, in fact it is impressed by me very much because although it is composited by 500+ parts inside the watch and the size is pretty large for me (i remember it is about 46mm but forgot the thickness), when you tried on your wrist, you won't feel heavy at all which may be because of new materials made.

2. Duomètre is also a very nice and elegant watch as usual. the dial is well-design and well-balance although parts of dial are opened. the moon phase is nicely designed. i saw some of sky painted in red. last but of least, the 1/6 second hand is just lovely, i am sure if my son has a chance to see it, he will like it too.

3. Memovox International still can maintain his classic look, international city names painted in while were nicely contrasted with the black dial. compared with LAB2 and Duomètre, i prefer this memovox may be partly because of its right size for me which is 40mm in diameter. i tried it on my wrist, it fits to my small wrist perfectly. few of us tried to wind the alarm and listened the sound. i haven't had a chance to listen alarm sound from old memovox, can't make comparison between this new one and old one. but this new one, the alarm sound was quite clear and loud.

i didn't bring my camera to take pics to show you guys here. i am sure all these wonderful watches are traveling around the world. probably next stop will be your place soon.

as told, after this stop in Singapore, next stop will be in HK soon. hose friends in HK, beware of this preview to be held in HK soon.

last but not least, after the evening everyone of us was received a door gift by the boutique staff. you guess what, it is "THREE: YEARBOOK 2010". I am very happy to have one with me. just used my mobile phone to take pics to show you guys.

Thanks for sharing with us your experience and thoughts on the new JLC watches, Stefan.

The diversity of the watches released this year is really stunning, my friend.

From the small to the big ones, from the affordable to the most " esoteric ", there will certainly be a JLC for all budgets and tastes, this year.

I agree with you on the WT, its retro look has something charming.

As for the sound of the Alarm, let's say that the modern JLCs sound like a school bell, while the Vintage sound like a frog ( Cal 825 ) or a cricket ( Cal 916 ).

To hear them is a superb experience, so don't miss it!

As for the Year Book 3, there is a nice retrospective on Striking watches.
