I have no Reverso Grande Automatique with me to check if the Rotor is noisy or not, but it may really be possible and normal.
I have some JLC automatic watches which are a bit noisy, mostly due to the conception of the rotor ( creamic ball bearings ).
You can always go to your JLC AD and check by yourself with another Reverso Automatique.
It is indeed a bit difficult to compare the noise of a rotor with another just with words...
