Dear fellow JLC wearers - I was sitting on the train today and had a flash of inspiration. Of course we all know the significance of black and red to JLC, but does it work to bring it across to the MUT like this? Your honest opinions are wanted please. Of course this is just an edited mockup of how it might look and the exact colour of the stitching is critical, but it could become a reality depending on your feedback.

Is a no for me JatG. This watch is one of the most elegant in the market place in my opinion and coloured stitching just doesn't look right - too sporty. Of course, this is only my opinion and you need to go on what you think. If it works for you, who am I to complain.

Great watch the MUT though.

Hi - what got me thinking was the combination of red and black on the Master Compressor dials, but also the special black-dial limited edition of the MUT Grand Taille that has red minute markers and subdial.

agree with the majority....

Too sporty for me. On the other hand, if you like it then by all means wear it and enjoy it the way you want it

.. I do not like this strap with this beauty : too sporty and no continuity in colors between the watch and the strap.

UT requires a very classicial strap for this dressed watch, IMO

..to all for your input. While this seemed like an exciting idea, beyond first glance I think that you're right - the look is too sporty (even with more muted shades of red) and incongruous with the dial. Still, I do have some other (more subtle) ideas for a custom strap such as the one below that I will be experimenting with before placing an order. I will of course share with you all the final result in the skin...

The blue croco is fine too.

That's a very interesting suggestion time2tic - I'd wondered whether grey or muted blue lizard skin would look good. I will investigate that possibility when I choose a leather. Thanks.
