Well over a year ago I placed an order for a rose gold Duometre. For the last 3 months I have been calling my local AD about twice a month to check on the status and would always get the same answer...it will be in soon. About a month ago I received a call from him and he said he would be able to get me a platinum version...hmmmm. I have yet to see it in the metal so was hesitant to jump off the wallet for the platinum. I was also not sure if the watch was going to be too large, I usually wear 35-39mm watches, so I passed on the platinum and told him I would wait for the rose to come in.
Then a week ago I heard from him again and this time he told me he could get a yellow gold in within a week and would I be interested in that. After looking at as many pictures as I could I decided if I didn't like it I could always sell it or trade it so told him go ahead and get it in, I will buy it.
I picked it up yesterday and have to say the yellow gold with a dial that has a very antique white look to it, is beautiful. The entire watch has a nice vintage look to it. The watch looked large so was still not sure how it would fit on my wrist so immediately tried it on and must say it feels very comfortable. I then started playing with the chronograph and between the sweep second hand, chronograph second hand, the 1/6 second hand then the minute & hour counter it was amazing. Being a single button it makes it very easy to operate, but noticed you have to be careful not to press it to quickly. If you do some of the functions either stop or start when are not supposed to. The 1/6 second hand is mesmerizing and has very distinct start/stop on each fraction of the second. I could go on for many more paragraphs but don't want to bore you.
The dial is very legible so to read the time, whether day or night is very legible, but I am so fascinated by the chronograph I really don't care what the time is. I have owned many chronograph's and have to say this one is truly the most enjoyable I have ever owned.
I love the yellow gold with the vintage look and feel and happy with my decision to buy it.

Your photos are really nice with the focus just on the watch itself.
The Duometre in YG is really a wonderful choice -- original watch, rare, beautiful -- what's not to love. This is a dream piecefor me.
Congratulations!

It's a truly lovely piece. You made the right decision!

This Duomètre is a very attractive chronograph. The way the second hands are "dancing" under the tempo of the lightning second is fascinating. A pure beauty!
Congratulations!
its operation and display are unique whilst still being analogue. there is a clear definition between chronograph and timepiece which is very easy to identify. it looks thick, but on the wrist feels fine. this and the Amvox II are the top 2 chrono's on my wishlist so you are a lucky man indeed.
best
