on this JLC forum and you will see a brief discussion of the EWA as well as some pictures.
They are similar watches in that as you noted they both have the air shock absorption and the fast strap change mechanism, and I think they are roughly the same size, although I think the EWA seems a little bigger because of the "fin" on the 9 o'clock side. The big difference is in the overall look and functions. Which is more useful to you -- the alarm or the chronograph?
I think you are right that the EWC generated more interest and discussion when it was launched than the EWA has because the EWC was launched as sort of the flagship model of the Master Compressor series and featured some innovations that have now been around for a while and are incorporated into the EWA. I think that because the EWA features the same alarm mechanism that the latest hot model, the Polaris, does, the EWA did not get the recongnition for this new alarm design as the Poaris certainly has. So, I kind of think the EWA has gotten a little lost in the mix coming between the EWC and the Polaris, but maybe some others here have a different perspective. It is a great watch if the alram function is useful to you especially when you combine it with its ruggedness and the worldtime function
In any case, just decide wich one looks better and is more useful to YOU.

Hi kash,
I own an EWA.
I also own a Master Grand Reveil. I can compare their bell.
Both are ringing and I use them to wake up every morning. I prefer the sound of the Grand Reveil which lasts longer and rings louder than the EWA.
The EWA is great. I was the second person to get it in Paris.
It's a large watch nevertheless very easy to wear, even with a costume.
2 of my friends own a EWC. The EWA is bigger and more impressive on the wrist than the EWC but it's not a problem. I prefer the EWA, especially because you never see it on other persons' wrist, eventhough I will get later a EWC.
I think the EWA will be a collector because of its color (I own the stell version and the night part is red). The red will remain through times as wearable color.
On the contrary, the Rossi version (yellow) is a summer watch and you can purchase many of them on second hand web sites. I guess it testifies what is a good product or not when purchasers want to sale their watch...
If I had to choose, I would defenetly get a EWA.
Best regards.
Looks really nice!!!

Naturally, this is one we don't often see, here.
Thanks for sharing.
Best.
