Santa delivered a brand new original style (38mm) Master Control Geographic to me! I love this model and already had the black dial/display back version on a glossy honey croc strap. This new one is of course the silver dial on a glossy black croc strap. To me, the dial is so perfectly harmonised that there was no real room for improvement. Also, unlike some folks, I find it to be a fantastic travel watch and have no trouble reading the dial. I haven't heard anyone suggest that if the small dial is difficult for one to read constantly when traveling, how about using the small dial for home time and the large dial for local time? OK, so you have to move the minute hand but it that such a big deal? I actually enjoy setting my watches-they're fun to play with that way, so it doesn't bother me at all! I fimly believe that when the big watch trend runs out of steam, JLC will return to these dimensions. Long live the Master Geo!

The Master Geo is my fav as well (have the steel, white dial with black croco strap as well), until the Reverson Grande GMT arrives (in two days).

Although I've always loved the black dial, my only beef was that I wished JLC would have sand-blasted the subdial hands.  I always found the polished steel hands of the date, reserve and 2nd time to be a little hard to read under certain lighting conditions.  The silver, on the other hand, I've always found to be quite legible.  By the way, being a blue jeans & navy slacks lover, I prefer the silver dial on the navy strap - it really pulls out the color of the subdial hands.

In fact I was thinking or ordering a custom Camille Fournet navy croc strap through JLC. I happen to prefer the gloss finish, plus they offer a rubber backing which is great for me. I can wear it onstage and not have persperation bring on an early deterioration. I really extends the life of the strap. Enjoy! (Oh, and don't forget to make sure your love for JLC appears - subtly - on your next album;-) ) You mean as opposed to our summer tour, where on our video screenfor part of the show, among a bunch of modern gadgets I had a 20 foot high picture of an EWC? :>))

being in the Caribbean for the last 12 years doesn't allow me much time to get to the mainland for concerts.  But I would have applauded the watch as much as the musicians, I'm sure ;-)
