Jaeger-LeCoultre

The only issue with this watch is...

 By: skyeriding : June 15th, 2016-00:24
...its overshadowed by the Duometre Chronograph in my (biased) opinion...

Regards,
skyeriding

Not so sure. They are different in many ways.

The coomplication, of course, as the UTT is a travel time which brings something, with its digital jumping hour and the minute hands which can be set by increments of one minute, the 24 hours ring at 6 around the globe, and a superb movement.
The " A Chronographe " is a milestone in this complication. So is the UTT in its category. Both co exist quite well, in my opinion.
Best,
Nicolas

What a great start to day!

Thanks for this - makes for a great start to the day. And with the UTT I find rose gold works very, very well IMHO smile

I still prefer the coldness and understatement of the Paris Boutique Edition in white gold, but this rose gold has a lot of warmth and charm. [nt]

As said, I am generally not a fan of coloured gold

But here it works - would be equally happy with the Paris edition one, though biggrin

Same here about the charm of the rose gold. On that version, at least. [nt]

.. +1 on a slight preference of the WG Paris Boutique Edition;

But Hey, I here would be more than happy with this glorious
and warm character, a beautihul & harmonic piece !..

- Great share, thx again !
For me a very distant dream..

Cheers & Best, gs

The problem with the Paris Boutique Edition is that it is limited to 100 pieces.

So, it may not be that easy to find...
Aaah, and yes, there is this wallet contrariety, too... wink
Best,
Nicolas

While I do generally prefer RG the WG Paris boutique edition is my favorite as well. It is a great watch no matter. Well balanced and executed. All you are missing is a picture of its back. Always a delight to see the glimmer of the movement. [nt]

A picture is worth at least a thousand words. So you don't have to say anything my friend. [nt]

I particularly love one detail...

 By: watchme : June 16th, 2016-08:23

that the day/night ring locks and advances or retards as you change the travel time, but then unlocks and continues its 24-hour spin once the timezone is decided upon. This is quite a technical challenge.

-Dean

Yes, that's why there was a confusion at the beginning. Some thought it was a world time because of that detail. [nt]
