Help needed...
Thanks for this...I am actually considering to purchase this model, problem is where I live I don't have AD so cant try the model and see if it fits in terms of size etc.
Just a help call from other members as I am spending hours and hours on forums and don't feel any progress
- This one is automatique, do you think Reverso lose its charm not being manual?
- My biggest concern is size, I do have relatively large wrist as I can comfortably wear Panerai 44mm for example and also AP ROO. Nevertheless, since I have already large watches I want something smaller and more discreet for work etc. That's way I am looking both at regular Duo (42.2mmx26mmx9.3mm) and this one which is slightly smaller than regular Grandes and is 47mmx28.3mmx11.6mm.
I would wear the watch mostly at work so usual business suite etc. My wrist is cca 18, 19cm so around 7.5inches.
Am afraid 11.6mm would be too thick and large but also that regular Duo may be too small. Any help/view is highly appreciated!
Was also looking at ultra thin models but I like the look of Arabic numerals dial...
The proportions are good for your wrist. Now...
2/ The thickness is ok, but I prefer when it is slightly thinner.

Hi UA, are you open to the grand reverso ultra thin duo face? It's 46.8 x 27.4, it's 9.4 mm thick, and it's manual wind. I find it very elegant. It does have the pusher which some don't like but which I love. Happy hunting! [nt]

By looking at the size it looks perfect, only negative is lack of Arabic numerals on main dial. For some reason I got fix on numbers dial. Its bit less formal I think and I would use it during day on work etc, ultra thin duoface very elegant I agree and definitely short listed...
Will have to put it aside a bit (difficult one as I got that itch and wait to see them and try them...can even swallow new reverse duo face is automatic (explained to myself I will be using it on daily basis so I guess automatic much more convenient, manual reserve is very low, 8 days would be perfect) but still concerned about the overall size and especially thickness...coming from Panerai and AP ROO would like to have something discreet this time...have draw proportions on paper and put it on my wrist but as you can imagine didn't help much

Hi Uros, there will probably be an adjustment in size, coming from royal oak and Panerai. What at first looks small may later look perfect. I have a 976, it seemed the right size when I got it but would now prefer a bit smaller. 976 is 48mm, manual

Was looking at grande taille, good that you mentioned this, in theory idea of having two sides of the watch on duo's grew on me as quite interesting, you flip sides and its like having new watch but not sure that in some time I would wear only white dial with only occasional flipping...if I would after initial playing have white dial 99percent of the time then duo is not worth extra size/thickness and also few kEUR on the top...

I'll have to see how big my wrist is. I believe it's on the small side. That being said, I'd be fine wearing a 44mm Panerai. The thing is, Panerai and everyone who followed them into the big watch realm, they conditioned us to want the big watches.
I like lightweight watches so yes, I'd prefer ultra thin for that. But that's just me. I know that many like the weight of a watch. As it is the thickness doesn't bother me.
As far as duo faces they're supercool but l usually prefer one side.

btw not sure why did JLC discontinued models such as Grand Sun Moon, that piece with 8days reserve looks stunning...
Back to my hunting I decided to park it a bit until I travel abroad which should be sometime in June and visit AD. Almost ordered Grande Taille as you have suggested being motivated by its true classic side but still concerned it may be too small...
I know its a different forum but just for sake of argument this is how my wrist cope with my AP ROO (its on metal bracelet so I guess I would need adjusting in terms of weight as well
