Horological Meandering

Tonight my wife and I are having a little get together for dinner with friends and one of our friends beside been a renown French Chef is also a "hobbyist" watch maker and great admirer of George Daniels. He is manufacturing a Pocket Watch from a George Daniels model with Tourbillon. The watch is not finished yet but I had the chance to see the Tourbillon which he did entirely in his atelier at home, what a marvel!!! Apart from the jewels, the main spring and the balance spring every and each parts of the watch is manufactured by him all the way to the minute screws. Besides the delicious moqueca de peixes e camaroes which my wife has prepared, I will definitely enjoy learning more about the manufacturing of time pieces.
