I bought the white gold black dial version, which has disappeared from the latest catalogue, and now only available on SS bracelet version, whilst I prefer my watches on leather straps. Decide to start off with a classic, and see how the year unfolds.

Decided to start off with a classic, in a very sombre and serious black dial in WG, which I understand has been dropped from the dial catalogue, and will only be available in SS versions.
This year will be quite diverse I think, but will be buying my horological loves from the 90s still, watches that I could not afford then. Also will be gunning for the lange double split, and another serious purchase, prob a patek.
And will be space for one more independent piece.
And most importantly, sit back and enjoy the watches that I am already blessed with, photographed and catalogue them properly.

Whilst it may not have any haute horologerie credentials, it's still and iconic watch, defined by the longevity of design and concept, and we all just love it! I have the SS version with the zenith movement in white dial too, and that piece is more likely to stay in the family heirloom.
The YG version that you have is probably more the quintessential precious metal daytona, but I wanted something more sombre for the office. Congrats on your ownership too, like you said....one can't go wrong with it! Have you seen the new ever rose version?
