Any thoughts on what the movement might be?
My thoughts are most likely similar to yours, something from China. It seems a lot of affordable brands like Timex, Fossil, Armitron, etc. are once again using "automatic movements" and I would bet they are nothing to exotic.

for USD160, it is no brainer for a skeletonised movement watch. At least, it is cheaper than a lot of quartz watches.
