....you might find Northern Englanders tend to call Fat Ladys..'Fat Ladys'...on account of them not being thin Ladys. I guess someone dreamt up the word Fat for a specific reason.
Do you think the case sizes were a brave new move from these brands Nic or more simply a case of them having to wear the proportions the manfacturers produced for them.. happy in circumnavigating the heavy research £'s associated with producing a 200m waterproof case.

I guess we'll never actually know which way it went...i've always felt the Polaris looks to be gagging to have an external chronograph bezel dropped on it (along with a movement installed)....especially given it was the manual chrono period and maybe the polaris was a secondary use for the case style. Maybe not.
Best Regards
Catherine.
I make a comment on a dial ....you comment that i cannot possibly telly you accurately if the dial is authentic.
Suitbert makes a comment on a dial... you button it...stum....not a sausage.
I've already pointed out to you once that your line of chat is different in private to the line you take on forums....i've now pointed out that you are prepared to pull specific people only... put whatever spin you want on it and tell me what iv'e wrote ^ is incorrect. 'Sauce for the Goose...your honour'.
Folk might not like my speak you say....thats funny cause you seemed to like it thanking me no end after writeing to me sniffing for information....you've compounded this this very year by telling me how consistant my speak is........Which end of the stick do you want?
But u have all the three great watch :o)
Congrats...

they are not personally the kind of watch i want to collect, but i fully appreciate your desire to own them. we might have different tastes, but understand each others thought processes.

Excellent, Linda!
This is not a scoop, I'm a big Fan of the Polaris, fascinated by its volume, the thick domed plexy, the imperfect indexes, the finish of the dial, the special crowns, and this alarm which sounds like a big frog in Love ( On the Vintage, of course ).
I too am very attracted by the brown dials, and when I saw this Longines for sale, you can easily imagine my reaction.
Thinner than the Polaris, it is a superb watch, with its particular dial ( 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 ) .
As for the year of the release, it was 1962.
Best, and thanks for your enthusiastic input, Linda!
