Very true. These watches really struck the PuristS members.
I also considered the Omega, I had great access to it. But for me, the Montblanc 1858 has quenched a lot of thirst for anything else. A collection changer. And now, the brand has my full attention, I am eager for future models as impactful as this one.
I think it sets a new bar for me moving forward.
I am fortunate to have a few other pieces that move me the same, but for acquiring something new, I will be very discerning.

Unfortunately, after much thought I don't think I can at this stage. The bronze one really got me going! I'm not. A big fan of bronze watches but that one was an exception. The Speedy is a great watch, but my father has the FOIS and I actually prefer that one.

is for me for the CK2998. I have reserved it at my AD just before Christmas, couldn't pick it up, because of the two GO arrival. I am not a croesus at all!

I need to add my CK2998 to the list...
So, I have been reading postings on this site, with regularity, for the past six months or so. I really enjoy the amazing watches that members own and the amazing photography that chronicles their acquisition and use. I joined the Forum this evening, in large measure, to acknowledge that another of your readers also owns the CK2998 (#361). I first saw the watch online, when it was unveiled at Basel World, while my wife and I were on vacation in Copenhagen. I showed my wife the photos of the watch and said I need to buy this -- totally smitten. I next emailed my local OB contact and asked to get pre-approved and in July my watch came in. This Forum has seemed to fancy this watch with greater vigor than the other watch sites I follow and I am glad to add my own watch to the list of owners.

Is the Seiko Presage 60th Anniversary Edition. I have counted at least 17 purchased by Purists so far and more may be out there. Just to make it a tad more complicated for you
As for percentage of the specific Edition, the Montblanc 1858 Tachymeter is clearly in the lead, no doubts about it...
