There is hardly a day or a night, for that matter, that goes by without me wearing the K2, the Black Moon or - very, very soon now - the Korona RG.
And that with some other great, favorite, even fantastic watches crying out to be worn! (And, trust me, they DO get worn!)
Reliability is no issue. I think Frank (monochrome) has summed it up very well. And Stepan himself. - confirmed by me, as owner and wearer - and sure-to-be future customer - and actual wearer of a Sarpanva watch!
They feel, whatver the size, simply right on my wrist - on and with me!
You become a watch wearer - not a Watch Bearer.
You wear a Sarpaneva. You can also wear a SUF! That`s a production of very affordable watches for everyday use and circumstances, in a way Stepan's "bread and butter" line - but with true hands-on quality!
If you don't happen to be, exactly within the vicinity of Helsinki, but do happen to be travelling through or even living in Europe, may I suggest contacting Philippe Mariez of Executive Edition in Paris. Looking for some feedback on Sarpaneva watches
If you own one can you post some comments on the watch? I know the watch is crafted in Finland but I want to get some info on the movement.
There does not seem to be many dealers worldwide distributing the watch so I would like to know how reliable these watches are.

I'm picking up my Korona RG in a week, will post feedback as soon as

Speaking as an owner of K2
It is a Soprod movement modified by Sarpaneva. The movement is covered by the full rotor. You therefore can;t see its details. Based on my 1 year experience, the reliability is not an issue.
The most attractive part of the watch is the unique skeletonised dial.
So far, I have not regreted to own this watch.

The movement is very reliable, it's a Soprod A-10, which is being used by an increasing number of independent watchmakers. Sarpaneva takes apart the whole movement, modifies the mainplate, the mainplate will be DLC-ed by the way, his own date mechanism is installed (on the K1 and K2, the K3 and Korona WG and RG have his own moonphase mechanism).
The hands... black polished... and soooo beautiful, the dial... hand finishing of well over 200 miniscule holes on the K1... so imagine the K2, K3 and Korona WG and RG having even more holes to finish by hand. Everything is so incredibly thought through, the details are just excellent.

wearing K1 daily
Yes daily... and i find it hard to put it aside and give of of my other watches some wrist time. It's strange, this never happened before. I guess it's like Amerix said, a watch wearer and no watch bearer. Although it's 44mm, which is not small, it wears so comfortable!
The K1, K2, K3 and Black Moon are no more than 9.6 mm thick... This one just one of the factors making the Korona serie so comfortable.
The Korona RG and WG are slightly thicker and heavier, but still incredibly comfortable. For me this is becoming more important lately.
Oh... and one thing i want to add, is the worries some people had about the ease of reading the time. I read some posts about it and before i went to Helsinki i also wondered if this would be a problem. Well... i can asure you that it's no problem at all. Even later at night, when the sun has set, it's easy to tell the time. This is because the hands are partianlly black polished and partially microblasted. The black polished parts are still visible when it's almost completely dark.
