This watch is so hard to beat as a package. Comfortable, unique aesthetic, and well made - especially now that pricing is reasonable again. Can see myself picking up one of their divers further down the road for sure π
for a watch with no hand-finishing. Most DB are too big and those lugs turn me off. There are hundreds of other watches to buy I would spend my money elsewhere.
The area where the lug arms meet the ogival lug tips requires hand shaping and finishing. The CNC gets close, hand filing and shaping is required to get a sharp transition and crease going from the flat lug arms to the rounded bullet tips.
The entire lug plus finishing is all machined. The whole watch is CNC. DB produces 350 watches annually. Three hundred and fifty watches per year. For the record, I own CNC watches like Rolex, but the price should reflect accordingly.
Frankly, it's totally fine for us to buy different watches. I have a long queue ahead of those watches I adore.

Narrow rounded bezel handles scratches well and DB ti deployant plus rubber strap is convenient, and so confiding you can forget your wearing it! As pricing for fresh out of school indies keeps going up DB value looks better and better. I'm tempted to buy another before FHB buys DB and fires the hype cannon
Totally. After wearing the black ceramic Bathyscaphe I kinda want a black DB28. It would be silly to have 2 of the same watch in different colors but the swordfish or the previous JPS edition π
