What a wonderful watch!

My heartfelt congratulations on this catch. I’ve always found De Bethune utterly fascinating, and I must say – it looks absolutely fantastic on your wrist. Your last photo proves it!
Reading your reflections, I couldn’t help but think of one aspect that often gets overlooked in discussions about the DB28: the way it plays with light. That mirror-polished titanium case, combined with the deep heat-blued tones, creates a constantly shifting presence on the wrist – almost like the watch has moods of its own. It’s something that no macro shot or spec sheet can ever convey, and in my view, one of the reasons why the DB28 has become such a modern icon.
In that sense, it’s not just technically accomplished, but emotionally alive – a quality that, as you rightly point out, so many independents are missing today.
Many congrats again, m2!
Best
Thomas
