What a loaner! I think the small (normal?) sized GF watches are under appreciated

Few watches have so much depth and level of quality / effort in so few cubic centimeters. One of the things I like about this over the S1 is the boxed sapphire which I think helps save the bezel and adds that little bit extra depth. The small GF's fly under the radar and are so easy to wear but still so special that I ended up wearing mine everyday. I thought my S1 would be a special occasion watch or something that I might sell eventually for a bigger GF but instead it's turned me into a boring 1 watch person, I only switch watches if I need a beater or something waterproof....
Also my first GF. I have worn it daily for over 2 years now, traveling, going to events, everywhere. Winding the S1 has become part of my daily coffee ritual at home, at the office, on vacation or working in another country, wherever.
From your comments I gather you are happy with your decision. Wearing it daily is a strong statement, especially knowing some of your other watches. Wow. I am considering the exact same version, steel with black dial. Would probably take this as an opportunity to significantly reduce my collection in order to finance the S1. Your comments are encouraging me this is not a bad idea.
I had to sell a couple watches to make the S1 happen and I miss them at times but no regrets. Generally I like larger watches, I hate time on a subdial, at least want a stop seconds complication and like some lume so this checked none of my boxes but here I am. This is the smallest watch I own but I like that the traditional size and shape means it goes unnoticed, the time subdial is large enough to be easily legible compared to say the duometre, my OCD of synching the running seconds perfectly to the minute hand has disappeared, and the polished curved profile of the hands means it's actually quite legible. If anything I've come me to appreciate how the subdial contains the time so at no point do the hands obstruct a view of the movement like say my DB 28 which has a big chonky hour wedge.
Everything is subjective of course but I hope you you post lots of pics if you decide to pull the trigger!
And obviously really wearable, which may not be the case for every G&F. The watch is really great. It's a shame it's not yours. But maybe it will be one day. 😉
