Grönefeld
If you could choose one Grönefeld, which would it be? Of course everyone is familiar with the remontoire. It’s a gorgeous watch. But the more I look at and learn about the One Hertz, the more I wonder whether this watch may be a better representation of their aesthetic.
Very hard to beat the Remontoire, especially with a Kari dial.
My favorites were probably the guilloche + enamel combo dials.

All other things being equal I would choose the One Hertz. But...
all other things are not equal and at 43mm this is non starter. Having had several 1941 on the wrist it’s just perfect for me, and for many others. More traditional in sizing, and perhaps therefore more durable long term (in terms of fashion, style, wearability).
Why just one?
In all seriousness, though, the 1941 case is absolutely sublime. It is easy to be taken by the movements or the dials, but the 1941 case, to me, is perfection. And if that case is perfection, the Remontoire is the one to have, if just one. But as you can see, I couldn’t have just one because they are that good! These brothers make incredible pieces.

Been thinking about the baby blue Principia a lot lately 😬. Would look amazing next to my Remontoire. But a beautiful One Hertz would look great too . Can’t go wrong with any Gronefeld imho

I really can’t say enough positive things about the Principia. It’s just a stunning and fantastic watch for every day, and that blue is very nice. I must confess that I like them all.
I have thought about adding a one hertz, but without having the benefit of trying one on, I find the size a bit intimidating. Now because of the pure awesomeness of the Parallax, I’d be willing to take the plunge anyway if the funds were there and the right one presented itself. To me, that truly is a grail piece!

I totally understand your point. But i have been lucky to try a few One Hertz models on my wrist and its not intimidating at all imho
Ofcourse its bigger then the 1941 case (Remontoire- Principia) but still got a elegant and pleasant feel and look on the wrist . So if you can add one at some point i think you won’t be disappointed.

Gronefeld are all gorgeous yet one of a kind and every one has a special movement ingenuity element.
Very tough choice
Please allow me to share my very own personal opinion.
If you want something extravagant go with Tourbillon .
The most unique and avant garde sexy would be GTM Tourbillon Minute Repeater
The Parallax Tourbillon is the most stunning and sexiest of them all. (I love it so much more than the Decennium T)
If you believe in clean then 1941 principia is the chic classic type.
it is the most beautiful and elegantly simple for me.
if you want something gorgeous yet aluring, and exciting go with 1941 Remontoire Original or Kari Mono
(personally for me the bespoke is too much of a good thing, perhaps if I it is me I can only go with monochromatic instead of bicolor)
The 1941 Remontoire is the most amazing watch from both sides. 1941 is definitely one of the sexiest back watch ever at the very least can compete with the sexy back of any watch.
IMHO the 1941 Remontoire is a must have of every watch collector.
If you want something amazing, powerful and distinct go with One Hertz ( every model is unique and makes them fell abit more special compare to 1941 Remontoire).
The Techniek is the most provocative and dynamic. Techniek Nocturne adds darkness and sultryness to the provocative
The Classic are the most stunning and sensual yet honest of power beauty (Out of steel, platinum, titanium, ruthenium, rose gold, steel is the most ravishing and true)
The Contemporary are the pop and fun beauty (personally this is my least favorite one hertz yet the Fire is very hot)
IMHO the One Hertz is the intenditore class of watch loving.

I would loooooove to add a one Hertz or a Parralax at some point in the future.
That would be a dream combo together with my Remontoire imho . The One Hertz is such a gorgeous Gronefeld . Love this rose gold with creme dial . Very warm combo

I know this has been discussed before
But I still don’t understand the Hodinkee edition of the remontoire. Why would you get rid of the visible governor on the dial? That is the most unique aspect of the dial, and something you don’t see anywhere else. But I guess everyone’s tastes differ!
as i say, it transform this timepiece to a 'stealth mode'...
