Brilliant introduction to how you met Mr. Stenning! And of course, beautiful photography as always!
These are the kind of watches are always worth a closer look due to how different they are versus more conventional watches. And as you've illustrated, its not just the movement.
One thing that I find particularly exemplary is the vapor deposited medallion and tracks - the edges are incredibly sharp, beyond what the usual pad printing can achieve. Not to mention of a very fine resolution; further emphasized by the line thicknesses variations of the medallions. Show this dial print work to watchmakers from half a century ago and they'd probably pass it as alien technology... I'm surprised other watch manufacturers don't use similar technology for their dialwork.

Just a note on the PVD. Firstly, Richard, being very particular about language, corrected me when I called it printing so make sure you don't make the same mistake if you meet him!
And secondly, the method is particularly exciting as far as I'm concerned since it does not allow for deterioration of the text and other graphics under normal conditions meaning that it should retain its crispness and colour over long periods of time.
It may be the case that now someone has perfected the method for watches (albeit on a specialist dial material) it may become more commonly used. Let's hope so as it opens many possibilities for detailed logos etc.

I actually quite like the size,
combined with the short lugs it looks like as if the watch is stretched taut over the wrist, giving the image of under tension and muscular, like a tiger ready to strike, if that makes sense. Not sure that's the image they would like to portray but it looks as such to me and I like it!
