The case and the moonphase are what did it for me. I think the contrast between the blue and the gold is fantastic. I am usually just interested in round cases, I do not like square or rectangular cases with sharp corners. This case is so unique (there are probably other similar cases, but I have not seen them). I found myself looking at the watch on line every day, and again when I saw it I could not resist. With my other watches I have found things I like or dislike only after wearing them for a while, and am looking forward to see what is great and maybe not so great with this one.

Toledo 1952
I am here in Las Vegas for the week, and I have never seen so many watches! Today I saw pieces from Greubal Forsey, an Opus 9, and a Breguet double tourbillon (hour hand attached to the tourbillons). For someone like me who has only viewed pieces like these on the internet it has been a tremendously fun experience. Today I bought a Toledo 1952 in rose gold. I wasn't planning on buying anything on this trip, but when I saw it I couldn't resist. It is a fantastic watch in my opinion. I am having it shipped home to avoid paying taxes. It should be arriving this Friday. On another note all those attending IGOTT are going to have a great time. This is a great place to hold the event, and I am jealous I cannot come back to attend. Looking forward to getting my hands on the new watch, and posting some pics. Cheers!!

The Toledo always amazed me...
The Grand Daughter of the Ciocolatone has a lot of assets:
A superb case, very original, too, with a nice dial and a superb triple calendar.
The only thing which made me hesitate is the " guilloché of the dial ( I would have prefered, by far, a smooth one ).

Congratulations on the Toledo 1952. It is a beautiful watch, especially in rose gold (I've always loved the mix of the blue moon disk with the rose case). I look forward to seeing some photos when you finally have them.
