and have been really happy with it so far. It had been sitting in a safe for a very long time and it looked brand new to me. I strated by sending the watch to VC for service and it has been performing perfect ever since.
When I buy a watch I don't consider potential value increase and matters like that - I only think about if I like it and if it speaks to me. This watch does that. When I bought it I had made up my mind that I wanted my first perpetual watch and checked out several models. I am far from a horology expert but having said that I came to the conclusion that a similar PP perpetual watch with a Lemania clockwork would cost me twice the price of this VC model. In addition I like the brand VC for its cool design and the fact that I very rarely see VC watches.
While on the topic of personal preferences I know many people in this community prefer white gold, steel and platinum. I don't, in general I prefer yellow gold - specially on this VC Malte. Looking at the dial when the watch did its trick during leap year sent shivers done my spine!
The only thing that is a small pebble in my shoe is the hight/thickness of the watch. Jokers sometimes call these "non-slim" watches for hamburger watches!
Hope this helps
Bon weekend
