...I would consider the Marine Torpilleur because of the blue indices on enamel. I have the Quantieme Annuel, and the dial is lovely as the blue "print" is softer than the bold black on white of the Marine Tourbillon. Problem I have with the Torpilleur is the hands and lack of contrast colours on the dial. As one other has mentioned, the Marine Tourbilon having a dash of red on the dial makes the dial that much more interesting. Similarly, the Quantieme Annuel having the red hand for the month and 1846 in red has a very nice eye-catching look with the soft blue, all on the enamel dial.
With the hands, the size is nice, but as you had mentioned, I would like to have heat-blued hands. I think that works very well with the blue on white enamel dial. Also for me, I would like to have some luminous markings on the hands. Somehow, that is very useful for the late nights.

As another poster has mentioned, for that price, one could expect something close to perfection...
I was actually choosing between the Marine Tourbillon and Quantieme Annuel some years back, and finally settled on the Quantieme because of the dial and markings. Yes, it is different between an annual calendar chronograph and a tourbillon, but the aesthetics of the blue print on white enamel, with the red accents, was just a little too attractive for me vs the Marine Tourbillon. I thought to myself I'd leave the tourbillon for another day, and some days, i do wonder whether i should have got Tourbillon first then the Quantieme. Anyway, still waiting on the Tourbillon.
HAGWE all (just realised that it is Friday).
