Looks like a winner. Looks much better then the last one. The detail and craftsmanship is typically superb. Need to hear what our expert, Gordon Lau, has to say. I would vote that this could be another edition for his collection. [nt]

I respectfully look to you as the "expert" as you have a good eye and experience. Certainly more thank most. We should have a discussion in the future about UN's ship series.
As far as the rooster's coloring I do understand what you mean but I'm okay with what they've done if for no other reason that it is so much better than the goat. I hope to see it in the metal at some point and then can make a formal judgement. Actually my favorite is the background.
Have to see it in the metal to feel it and know. That said there are others in the queue and It would have to replace one of the others. At some point I'd like a decorative piece. [nt]

Hi Mitch, given that you are a dragon, I am surprised that you passed on the...
enamel dragon back in 2012. Although you like the snake enamel the most, the dragon is also done very nicely !
Don't know if ever saw the UN dragon in the metal. Have seen others but not sure about dragon. I do have a hand painted dragon on my wallet though. Does that count? [nt]

I just looked at this piece on my computer and not on my phone and I have to say I am
totally entranced. The gradations of the colors of the rooster's feathers and their highlights are simply incredible. I would put on the level of the snake watch and it is not a snake so I could see myself wearing this one.

disappointed me on the rooster.
The motif is good (with rooster looking to pick a fight) and enamel work is great as usual. The claws are nicely done, just like the ones for the dragon.
However, more colors should have been used to make the dial more vibrant and to depict a more realistic rooster. See photo below and IMO brown feathers should be added. Otherwise it is a French rooster with the same colors as the French flag.
Overall, UN is back on track for the Chinese zodiac series.
