Saw both pieces and had them on my wrist
Both are excellent, especially the 7175 for Ladies !! The colors of 7175 to me are more vibrant and make the watch looks better overall than the 5575. The only issue is the diamonds, absent which I would choose it over the 5575.
Given the 1300 pieces of 5575 vs 450 pieces for 7175, I felt that it would be easier to get the 7175. If I could get only one piece of 175th, I would get the 7175 as an anniversary present for my wife and I would score BIG points. My logic was that there should be more than 3 to 1 ratio of male vs female collectors. Made sense, right ?? WRONG unfortunately.
Apparently, many male collectors order the 7175 for their wives. It is much harder to get 7175 than the 5575.
So if other PuristS think the same as me, you might want to adjust your strategy.
Please let me know which one you think looks better on my wrist (assuming no diamonds), how you compare and contrast these two watches, and which one your prefer (assuming no diamonds).
Cheers,
Gordon
p.s. There have been several previous posts (including mine) on the hands of 5575 not being very legible because of its color. On this point, what I understood was that the aesthetic of the watch (dial and the moon phase) required some grey polished hands. Several simulation with half or full sand blasted hands have been carried out and not selected. For technical reasons, these final version was chosen.

7175 being your preferred choice.
For me, the bling makes it a no go for me. No matter what, I cannot get the 7175 anyway.
By the way, I am fine with the diamond sticks as the hour markers on the ladies chrono's 4675 because they are less bling and quite subtle.

... the better choice (absent the bling) for male PuristS, especially the ones that need reading glasses !! LOL

...highly sought after because of men wanting their ladies to have this very special piece so that they can continue to purchase more Patek's without incidence !! LOL
Since your wife wants the chrono, then why not get her the 4675 ?? I saw it and it looked great.

Gordon
