Calatrava Rose Gold
I'm more or less finalized on the Rose Gold Calatrava & the models are
1. 5127 R
2. 5296 R
3. 5227 R
I'm aware of the sizing difference (37/38 & 39 mm respectively) and am also aware that the movement, 324SC, is common for all.
I would be interested in opinions on the 3 watches and your preferences.

The 5296 reference is a more contemporary design compared to the 5127. If you like the smooth/curved design, then there's nothing quite like the 5127.
As for the newer 5227, it has a beautifully hidden half-hunter caseback and appears HUGE due to the 39mm ref. Personally, I found it a bit too expansive, as my 39 mm Patek is a 5146, so there isn't as much 'unused dial space' there.
I'd really suggest going for the one that sings the most to you.

I just saw the 5227R at an AD. It's not a bad size if you are used to the 39mm PP watches. Also the 9mm thickness seems proportional to the dial size. If pricing is not major issue, I would seriously consider the 5227R. The 5127R will probably be hard to find at an AD in the near future.
5296R
Of the three, 5296R. To me, just about perfect. The 5296G I would consider the sector dial as posted by *P*A*T*E*K*, but in rose gold, the classic dial wins. The 5227 looks wonderful, but the pricing seems rather high. A hidden hinge for the case back as the new complication!
When I got my 5296, I also considered the 5127 but it just didn't sing to me. The crown guards looked somehow off on a dress watch, although my thinking now is that the curves on that case are pretty sexy! If I were to do it all over again today, I would not dismiss the 5127R so quickly as I did a few years ago.
It all depends on what brings the biggest smile when you look down on your wrist.
