 a greeting to you, I decided to make my next purchase and are oriented on a 5970J or G. ... but reflecting on the figure in question I did not think the same money I can take these 2 watches together .. .. 3940G - 3970J ......... are very tight, what would you do??

3970J + 3940G for sure.

In fact, I have a 3970J... and a 3940P.  Not quite the same, I know, but for the reasons dr kol stated, 3940 is just such a classic piece.

Also, the 5970J is a beautiful, beautiful piece but for me - and this is a highly personal thing - the track kind of clutters the dial a bit.  On the plus side, it does give it a "sportier" look.  It is also a bit bigger so for those with larger wrists they may prefer the 5970 versus the 3970.  However, I prefer the 3970.

 ........ the meaning of the post is just that, my wrist is 17.5 cm and I think a 5970 would be perfect for my wrist, but aesthetically I much prefer the 3970 .. 3940 ... the clock I see a tasty and I thought that with the same money that you take a 5970 I can take the pair ......!

... of my former 3970 (sadly gone). Indeed, Deniz made fantastic pictures of it you are right, and the one you picked up is just one out of many other gorgeous ones.

Although I am far to be as his level, I can't resist to share some other ones that I did so as to finish to convice Merke ;-)

 

Yes 3970 is a fantastic watch, and 3940 as well definitely (although I can't say that that 5970 P with black dial leaves me cold on the contrary, but that's another league!).

By the way, I love Pierre Corthay shoes just like Aubercy : very nice understated shoes for a man of good taste, just like PP!

I should have known that 3970J was owned by someone from PuristSPro - I've got to say that it was such an awesome set of pics! Great photographer  for sure - but because your timepiece was so awesome!

you could only own one vs a 3970+3940 combo, I would still settle for the ONE that drives me crazy! The combo consideration sounds like a comprise to your options limited by money?

Merke, do you really think the 5970 is the piece for you?  It is larger than the 3970, boasts a tachymetre/track that renders it a bit more "sporty" than the 3970 (in my opinion), and the pushers and lugs are a bit different (some would say better, but that's a matter of opinion too). 

 ....... perfect as your speech is perfect from the point of view of an amateur, but here in Italy in so many tell me that on a commercial level the choice of taking the 3970j - 3940g is wrong and the logical choice would be the 5970 .... hence my doubts, satisfy the heart and lose money or meet the rationality?? for now I'm still on the side of the heart but when I think of the money you invest ..... I do not deny that I also think 5970 ..... thank you all again for the advice!

... however, I think that if you base it on the secondary market in the US, at least, if you get a 5970J or 5970G for the price you would pay for a 3970J + 3940G... you would be losing money on that 5970!  Hehehe.
