Dear PuristS,

I would like to inquire as to whether there might be 2 versions of the caiber 27SC that anyone is aware of; a low beat 18,000a/h and a higher beat 19,800a/h? I've read 19,800a/h, but I also have a manual in hand that seems to indicate the conflictig 18,000a/h.

Is it possible that there are both variations in existence?

Just grabbed these images of my manual; hopefully they show up correctly (this is my first time using the forum uploading software).

the cal. 27SC (replacement for cal. 12´´´ SC) was introduced in 1949 and produced until 1970. There have been two series, one from 1949 - 1970 and one from 1953 - 1965. They came with 18,000 vibrations per hour and I am not aware of any changes.

If we talk about cal. 27-AM 400 (based on cal. 12´´´-400), there was a change up to 19,800.

I am not 100% sure, but maybe someone else can confirm or correct me
