5100J vs 5350R, which one?
Please help me decide. I know that they are two very different pieces, each has its own merit, each has its own distinctive quality. I like both of them, but cant really decide which one. Please advise. Thank you very much!

I will take 5100J instead of 5350R.
Mainly following reasons:
1. 5100: a unique case, a unique form movement, 10 day power reserve, movement with gold chatons (very unusual at Patek), a limited edition (1500 pieces for J) for an important year 2000
2. Annual calendar is not the purest complication (very personal opinion) in general, the case is same as the massively produced 5146
3. If I have to choose one of the annual calendar advanced research pieces, I will pick 5450P, which is the final most complete one with three innovative parts in the movement.
I would without hesitation take
5100J. Your other alternative 5350R is more like a collector's item but for the wearer just an annual calendar.
My reasoning is that the movement of 5100 is something really special while the annual calendar is just a "basic complication" of Petek. I would find the answer to your question just by looking at the movement.
