Patek Philippe

Dear friends and Patek Philippe fans,

I've had the pleasure of participating to the moderation of this site for more than 6 years. I've indeed taken much pleasure with you and learnt a lot along these years. I think it is time to leave the place to fresh new blood and enthusiasm, while I wish to spend now more time with my family and need to spend more time too in my "real life" job.

I want to thank you all for your support and friendship, first of all Dr Thomas Mao, our inspirator, and all the PuristSPro team members. I want to thank also Mrs Jasmina Steele and Mrs Christelle Konan from Patek Philippe for their help and kindness in the last 4 years. And I want to thank all my fellow PuristS here, for the great exchanges we've had.

I will not leave completely the site though and wish to keep participating to the community, so I'm not too sad (but a bit sad too of course).

I will give back the keys of the forum at the end of the month. I wish you all a great summer, may it last for long years.

It was a pleasure to have you as the Patek Moderator, a brand which is one of the most difficult to moderate.

I am sure we'll still read you here, with an equal pleasure.

Really sad to hear this as you are clearly THE pundit,  THE expert and THE enthusiast of one of the, if not the most, interesting manufacturer of watches.

Your posts and pictures were ALWAYS very enjoyable, very detailed and packed with technical information to learn.

Please do not leave us here alone and write from time to time if you can find time in your bussy live.

For the 5711 that's another story. It's still my dreamwatch, but it will probably become more my dream than my watch now! We'll see.

Dear Jerome,

 

Although I express this personal message, I am sure the moderator team also join me in wishing you well in the professional duties you have to take on 'in real life'.

It is a career progression that you are recognised by your work peers as well as your playmates 

 

You led by example on the Patek Philippe forum and unfortunately made it an onerous task for any successor.

We will search high and low and not rest until we find a suitable moderator for the forum. We will not rest and we will not be daunted by this mission.

 

In future, when you have settled down in the new career milestone, I am glad that you will return so we see the famous 3 characters - dje - again.

This experience has been incredible, unexpected, demanding but really pleasing.

Well, Jerome I'm quite new on this forum (and even newer on the Patek side of the street) but I really appreciated your inputs, the talks, your friendship here.

But first of all, congratulations for your career evolution. I don't know many things more important than the family (except cars and watches of course ^^).

I'm looking though to reading your thoughts again on Pp in the near future!
