 I don't think so.

After all, the 5070 has some strong links with the Past, an era where 2 Subdials Chronos were sometimes used by some Armies.

even when I would prefer it on a "simple" nato strap - without camouflage.

I love these old chronos so much, and still have to try to find some 4 or 5 oldies...

As for the modern, I have to do it again, with a Duometre, a Dato ( the first one, of course )  and a Vacheon.

Maybe the G.O Rattrapante, too?

I think it can be worn on a nato, why not? After all, it is a "simple" chronograph.
Putting it next to other chronographs underlines that statement.

A nice grey one would be best as darker colors would be too "aggresive"

Well done! What a different between the ones keeping it in plastic in a safe and people that enjoy their watches.

I do agree, this white gold version really reminds me of WWII chronographs, it is quite different from other 5070 regarding the effect done.

I wouldn't put it on an ammo NATO but, definitely on a patinated leather, or NATO Leather.

True, the 5070 has a heavy case. less dense than the Platinum Dato, though.

But the centre of gravity of the 5070 is less high than the Dato, so I think it could work well.

A combination to try, definitely.

NATO on the 5960P was all the rage last year.....

Personally, I think there are better "casual" straps for the 5070 than the camo one.  But, different strokes for different folks I guess....

That is certainly because I live on the Rive Gauche that I have all these strange ideas...

These old Chronos are, in a certain way, the epitome of the elegant watch, for me.

Very well balanced, not too big, nor too thick, and quite often, a suyperb movement.

Some recipes which could inspire the moder^production, sometimes...

My best mate 'retired' to Bordeaux (just outside st. Emillion) and sold his platinum travel time as he felt it looked too flashy for French tastes. I don't know if it's fair to show him how cool these platinum Pateks look on a NATO. Good choice.

I just need to find a set of bars et voillà!
