Thank you!
There were 5 mens wristwatches designed by Gilbert Albert in the 1960's and manufactured by Patek....2 references were commercially produced...the 3424 (shown above) and a 3422.These two references had some variations too in terms of the dial (the "spider's web dial shown and without), dial colour, textured cases and of course the 3 metal types.
The last one sold directly by Patek was oddly some 15 years after it was made in the early '80's based on a Certificate I saw!
The other 3 were prototypes though 2 of these the ref 3412 (the triangular shaped one) and the 3413 were made in slightly more quantities (6- 12??,based on the notes by the auction houses). The fifth was a one off.
Gilbert Albert also designed a couple of watches for the ladies and a series of pocket watches too.
I have 3 in the series ,shown below and apologies for posting the images again for those who have seen them (I had put them up sometime in the past) and have been looking for the last in the series to complete my collection ,the 3413, for many years.
The 50's and 60's saw many other Patek designs that were unique and quiet incredible and it is the design aspect that my collection is based on.
Roni
