Good day all, I have a little dilema. There is a PP 5124G Gondolo which I think is gorgeous and a JLC Reverso Septantieme which I really like . I do not have any rectangular or "form" time piece hence these two which are both manual winding and IMO absolutely beautifull. I cannot afford both of them at the same time of course but will eventually try to get one after the other. Which do you think I should get first.
Kind regards
Francois

I have tried it in Singapore six months ago, gogeous, beside I can't make it to Croatia in 2 days!!!
Cheers. Francois
I may have the chance to see it. Late December? Early January?

between 2 beautifull yet very different pieces of art and engineering. Yet, in this case the Septantieme is by far IMO the best "engineering" time piece but the slimness and simplicity of the dial of the PP is also very appealing to me. It is a pitty that where I live there is no easy opportunity to see both pieces in the flesh (please someone, please contradict me, I'll shout the drinks!LOL) The Septantieme is, well the Septantieme, first and first and first as you highlited in your review and I love it too, so perhaps I'l go for the Septantieme before the Huitantieme!
Oh! forgot, budget is also part of the equation! Dreaming, dreaming...it is so good to dream! I'll let you know soon.
Bonnes vacances.

it is my turn to wait now. I have decided for the Septantieme Platinum, will send some pics when it arrives in a few...weeks!!!!

I have only seen pics of the Gondolo on the net but I have tried the Septantieme in Singapore six month ago and loved it.

The Patek Gondolo is simply stunning in the flesh, especially the yellow gold one.
that is the one my heart does not beat for! Strange, isn't it. My heart really feels something good about the white gold one, probably because of the dial, I just love the dial of the white gold.
Kind regards. Francois
What a beauty!

like JLC? or the Septantieme in particular? True the 5124G is sublime to my eyes but I have not seen it in the flesh (metal!) yet I have seen and "wrist tested" the Septantieme and at that moment my heart said, please get it!
Budget, budget, always this bloody budget thing to think about.
Kind regards

I own a Patek Annual Calendar 5396 RailTrack in rose gold, beautifull and yes I own 2 JLC, 1 Master Perpetual in white gold the 37mm version and the World Geographique in platinum the one with "Ketchum" on the city dial. The one I wear most is the Master Perpetual it is also the most accurate but I love them all. The Septantieme I think is beautifull however perhaps a little thick, the PP 5124G I think is more dressy. Well we'll see.
Kind regards
