or are you people holding off until SIHH or basel for the latest hot thing?. Me personally i will focusing on a 5980. tried a black face on the other day which was rather nice but will probably go with the traditional blue face.

As I also have a long wish list about Vintage watches.

But yes, if we speak about Modern Watches, I'm waiting for the next watch fairs to see what will be released, to be able to make the good decisions.

Especially at JLC, VC, AP, GP, Patek, and Panerai...

a patek exec to me recently that coming years basel will blow your socks off. im sure the prices will to. Anyway its pretty hard to beat your 5970p i think

On modern.... Patek 5165 just keeps calling. Milgauss "the green one" also calls but has done for 2 years now and nothing has happened. The Tudor Heritage...yep that one calls for fun too.  Maybe a nice modern JLC too...something dive-related...uhm.

 

on vintage.... i am looking to refine my collection so possibly will lose one or two that get little wrist-time and replace with something that will. My Comex has been lonely on its own...so maybe one to keep company with it....maybe some other dive-related.

and go for it. funny i have similiar feelings about the milguass and haven't pushed the button either.im looking forward to JLC and the year of the reverso hopefully.

Knowing you, it won't be easy to let go some of your pieces, as they are terrific.

BUT, it will all depend on what you're hunting, and your hunts are always tremendous...

finances will not permit me to explore them all. but if all goes well, the 5078 will be the sole patek..actually sole watch for the whole year. otherwise, i can split up the funds for lotsa of smaller price tag watches....amongst them non patek...will be a bunch of vintage JLCs and Omegas, a tourby from either chopard or cartier and/or a preown FPJ remontoir. a VC calender watch and something fm DeBethune would be really great. the list goes on for another 3 pages, but i can always dream....
