love the watch. still kept in right proportions unlike the other Genta creation the APRO, which has mothed into a monster size.

the 5711 is a really versatile watch and suit most occasions...under the sleeves, in tees, business suit etc etc.

Hi DJe- If you were to choose between the 5025 & 5170 which one would you choose, I would like see what do you think

Do you mean 5205 and 5170?  If that's the case it's hard to compare those two.

Given the choice I would take the 5170 everyday. But it's worth twice the 5205 price.

The 5205 is a very appealing watch but the 5170 is a top notch manual wind chronograph calibre watch incorporating innovative solutions.

The 5170 is perfect for my classical taste, ideally sized, understated and technically fascinating. Nothing beast a manual wind chrono calibre to look at IMO.

The 5170 would win easily for me but it's not a fair game!

Hi,

I love the 5170 for its design (calibre and watch). Still an automatic chronograph makes sense with an annual calendar, and such a watch can be considered an everyday watch and consequently the automatic winding is useful and justified IMO.

I would add that I've never considered the 5960 as a dress watch myself. It has a sporting look and is IMVHO toot hick to be regarded as a dress watch. It's really a very appealing  and useful everyday watch.

5960 combines everything....

granted, it is a bit thick, but it may also be worn as a dress watch....
(not as much as 5070 or 5170)

Personally I prefer manual watches so I would want it to be manual.....

Over the past few years, I've been collecting pateks but recently sold off all of my collection (5070g, 5960p, 5130p, etc) to focus on independents. Yes, it's true but I just lost the pp feeling... even sold my nautilus collection like my 5980 (too thick) and my 3710 (love the power reserve but couldn't get past the roman numerals). Sold them all and didn't think twice... no regrets for some reason. But today, I was walking past my AD and thought about the 5711/1a... always had a thing for it but instead chased after the simple complications. Well suffice it to say they had one in stock (of course)... and well I'm back and a proud owner of the 5711/1a... it's awesome and probably one that'll I'll keep for a long time. One word comes to mind... iconic!

of the nautilus i always thought it was bloody ugly but when i actually saw it at the dealer i was absolutely smitten...LOVE it now...that dial is just amazing
