Patek Philippe

 

My AD cald me and he offred me a 5130P ,5140J or a 5159J (end of the year).

I already have a 5350R, 5066/1A and a 5960P.

I havent seen those in flesh but I do love both but only one can buy ONE this year!!

What should i do??

Does some have some wristshots and info/experience on those watches?

and so, if I were you, given the economic situation nowadays, I would ask myself which Patek I really want, not which Patek my AD has to offer to me. 

BTW, do you like yellow gold?

 

   

I prever platinum above Yellow gold.

  Someone i know, he enjoys collecting one different movement from each model.  Something you might take into consideration, you still have plenty of time till year end.  Seeing the models you have listed, maybe you will find an interest amongst the three models u have been offered.  Dont strain yourself too much, i would call this a " happy worry ".  U just might decide something outside the lot.  Enjoy !

Very difficult to answer you, and I wouldn't so it in terms of rarity, as a rare but not pleasant watch doesn't mean nothing.

So, if I wxould be you, I'd go on the 5130P, because I'm nut about World Time Watches.

I have the 5130P. It is a truly elegant watch. It looks fantastic. yet, if i was to criticise it, it would be that actually it is quite hard to tell teh time with it. The hands are often camouflaged by the dial. That would be my one criticism.

 

Teh 5960P is a great looking watch, but you need to make sure you like that grey dial too. 5140J would be my third choice from these three. But let me say, i wouldnt be unhappy with any. If i had to make the choice, I would take teh 5130P. Having said that, i do wonder if i would have been happier with the 5130 in gold.

I agree with Joe, it can sometimes be difficult to tell the time off that dark dial. I also have a 5130G, which is always easier to tell the time. Incidentally, for some unknown reason my 5130P (bought 2008) can only run for 45 hours whereas my 5130G can run for 49.5 hours. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the case material, but just wonder if they've made any changes to the 240HU movement over the years that can affect the power reserve.
