Does anybody know how many Ref#3970EP's were made? My favor word is Wholesale not Retail
It is my understanding that Patek Philippe started making the 3970 in platinum in 1993, which was when it was the 3970E? Am I correct?
Roughly how many 3970's were made. I hear that the total amount is like 3,600 from 1986-2004. I would guess 360 3970P's in Platinum were produced. Does anybody have any knowledge on this?
This topic has been discussed from time to time. Any more light can be shed on this?
Why does it matter?
Most of us can barely afford to wear one.
If lucky enough to have one, it alone garners sufficient affection and admiration.

Yep, just curious about the number of watches made of the 3970P, it doesn't really matter since it is a high quality watch., I gues the 2nd and 3rd series. I have to say that if Patek sold at XXXXXXX I could care less. These prestigious retailers mean nothing to me, They do not impress me in the least. To me, all these Retailers mean to me is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I feel at peace at XXXXXXX because I feel I am not being robbed.
What matters is the watch you buy, not retailer you bought it at. I think it would be hot to brag about buying a brand new Patek Philippe at XXXXXXX. Talk about Reverse Snobbery. I think all the new money people might be too insecure buying a Patek Philippe at XXXXXXXX and not XXXXXXXXX.
