Patek Philippe

Just received a 5970R, surely must be one of the last. What a shock, I thought I was never going to see it.

Are these expensive watches still a good investment. I've got a 5070G, 5070J, 5070R, 5070P. 3970R, 5970R, 5350R, 5059R, 5565A, 5960P, 5980A, 5712A, 5002J.

I don't understand your question about watches and investment.

If you own all the watches you said, and if investment is the most important thing for you, why asking???

Are you trying to say that you buy first, and wonder after if watches are invesmtent???

They are a terrible investment.... in fact, send them to me and I will take that lousy investment off your hands

all in all, I think you have a great collection and you should be fine putting your money there... but time will tell if it is a good investment or not.

But all of the watches that are listed are rather easily attainable if you are willing to pay for them. The hard part is getting them at list price. As for their investment potential sure they are great investments if you pay list for them and then sell them for a quick profit. This is undeniable. As for their long term investment potential, one would need a crystal ball to predict this.

In Patek pip'sdefense anyone with 2 million bucks to spend on watches give or take a couple hundred k could acquire every watch listed in his collection with one walk down 47th street. I'm not saying this to down grade his collection just pointing out that while all of those watches are desirable only the sky moon is all that limited.

I personally would love to see a picture of your collection, not because I don't believe you but because all of the watches listed are beautiful and all of them together is a Patek admirers dream.
