3939 vs 5959
a few kind thoughts on the above watches. which you would purchase if you had the purchase power, why and are there any comparatives with other watch maker models? not in a monetary sense but purely in horology terms.
so in essence the pros and cons.

concur with your remark. the 5959 is a technological feat and will almost probably remain unattainable to other horology makers, as such. the 3939 is quintessentially a pp thorough bred-both remain at the top of the foodchain, may i say.

These two references are my two favorites in the PP range.
Unfortunately I've not had to choose yet!
The 5959 is definitely rarer and nothing comes close to it. It is pure top horology (both are), for the sake of it.
The 3939 is an understated super watch, although much thicker, to a point that some may not like it (I would do with it).
Get both! Keep the one you prefer and give me the other!
