I have a 5110 WT and a new strap for it, I can't seem to figure out how to change the strap. Is there a trick to removing the pins?

I would strongly advise to get it changed by a qualified technician unless you have the necessary tools n knowledge, plzz!

I have some tech exp with changing straps. I've changed straps on my AP RO and all other watches. Sounds like there is a special tool involved, is this correct? Thanks for the advise.

Gimme a day, i got one in platinum but its in the safe, lemme have a look and respond back, if you can handle AP's then it shudn't be a problem for you mate! My advise was just to be on the safe side otherwise it shudn't be hard at all.

I will wait for your report. BTW. My 5110 is in RG with the blue/gray sub ring dial. She came on a gloss black croc. I bought a blue/gray matte strap as on the 5110P, do you think it will look off on the watch?

Your 5110 strap doesn't have the opening to show you the hidden slide. It is easy all you have to do is look into the strap at the lugs and you should see a latch sticking out from the pin. Push the pin away from you and it will open and you can change the strap.

In these earlier models Patek put quick release pins in straps that do not have the opening.

Thanks to you both for all the help. It's much like my FM, but without the strap notch. Bad design INHO. The strap I ordered was new and waited for two months from an AD. You would think that new straps would have the notch.
