Hello all,
It is already Tuesday over here, and for some of you it is already Wednesday, so I am sure some
of you are desperately looking out for the weekend ahead … well, guys, let me try to make the second half
of the week bearable.
I have this friend, living abroad, who is kind enough to “share” his collection with me and he asked me to
post the pictures on different internet forums. He requested to stay anonymous but here you find two pictures
of the watches in his collection:

">
Do you recognize all the brands and models?
I´d love to know how you would „rank“ the individual watches in this collection.
If you had to let one watch go, which one would it be (and if possible tell me/us why).
If you could make a suggestion about what this collection is missing, please post your suggestions.
Suggestions for a nice and funny caption to go with the pictures?
Thanks for looking,
Edwin
Hello Watch Lady,
I think the watches are as follows (from left)
- Panerai PAM 093 with Ti case and Power Reserve display
- Langematik Anniversary with Enamel dial
- FP Journe Tourbillon Souverain with Mother of Pearl Dial, features Remontoir and Dead Seconds
- RIchard Mille RM009 with Alusic case.
- Lange 1815 Tourbillon "pour le merite"
- Patek 5013 with Minute Repeater and Retrograde date Perpetual Calendar
- Patek 5959 Split seconds chrono
- Patek 5100P "10 days"
- Patek 5101P "10 days Tourbillon"
- Patek 5100G "10 days"
- Patek 5565A, Geneva Boutique edition
- Patek 3710/1A, with IZR "state of winding" indicator
The Patek 5013 and 5101 are the real showstoppers... I prefer the 5013 but the 5101 is beautiful against these others.. A real stand-out.
dig deep into your wallet !
Edited by Dje: please no shilling to auctions sales as per forum rules!
I would first let go of the 5959..
why???? all of his other watches are large , and the 5959 would go really well would my smaller size collection.
second I would release the 5013...
why? I do not see any other repeater out there,... it just looks out of place....I think it would look better in my empty safe..
with that said nice collection...
All bases are covered: Sports vs dress, large and small, complicated and simple, extreme engineering vs classic watchmaking, German vs Swiss, large brand vs independent. A lot of thought has been put into this collection. I spent quite some time to think about what could complement this collection and I came up short.
Kudos to the owner!
Congrats to the owner, a great collection indeed.
Cheers,
Michel
truly some stunning pieces, some of my absolute favourites. Very balanced, stunning, fabulous, and at this point, I have run out of adjectives for an appropriate description...
Thanks for sharing.
