Patek Philippe

Hello,

This is my first post here; I've inherited a Parek Philippe within the last few months, but I know very little about it.  Any idea as to what the model number, watch material (I suspect it's stainless) is?

Let me know if more pictures would be helpful; I'd photograph the back, but it's been engraved with a family member's initials.

Also, any idea what this watch might be worth?  It's not for sale (I wear it every day and love the look), but I'm curious as to its value.

I also figure I should have it serviced, the watch doesn't exactly look brand new.

Okay, looks like I figured this out.  I popped off the metal back of the watch case, and found that it's a Ref. 3479, made of 18k white gold.  The band is made of the same material.  I also see the movement is a 23-300.  It's the same watch as pictured here, only it appears to be in much better condition:

This is the first time I've seen the movement of a mechanical watch in real life, and I must say it's quite neat!

Thats a nice vintage watch, and the case is in very nice original condition as well.

Thanks, the watch really is in good condition; not even the slightest scratch on the original crystal.  The relative who originally owned this would always buy stuff and not make any use of it.
