As I learned, a 2526 WG with WG baton markers is extremely rare. The retailer's signature adds more proof of originality of the watch, while not necessarily making it rarer.

I posted yesterday a thread asking about 2526 and you popped this one up here which really aggrevates my crave for getting one of these beauties. Don't think I'll be able to find a nice WG but been offered a nice lovely YG a couple weeks ago but had to pass it as I had no prior knowledge of the ref. I wish I had bought it as the case was perfect and the cream enamel dial was spotless with a dealer name on it.
But I had one doubt about it as every  joints between the markers and the dial are not smooth.
Is this normal?

...the one you were offered might be of series 1 or 2, which had the hour markers planted (instead of being glued) to the dial, thus you would see "dimples" around the markers when looking closely.

...which series are more rare. However I know there are people who prefer the first two series because they were more difficult to make.

From the market price perspective, I don't see much difference among the four series (mostly for YG). Regardless of which series, the most critical thing is the condition of the dial if it's enamel, which is mostly the case for YG.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to discuss the concrete price figures here. I'm sending you a PM about that. 

The most important factor is the condition of the dial . Series 1 ,2 ,3 or 4 does not affect the value as much as the condition of the dial.

Case metal is important-yg, rg=wg , then platinum
